Important!

• Print this directions page if you want to visit Tropical Boonies. Google or Mapquest search WON'T PROVIDE exact directions and most likely you'll get lost by them.
• If you are coming from :
  • Ft. Myers, Naples, Cape Coral - use SR-31 instead of I-75. It saves you at least 30 min (see directions below).
  • Ft. Lauderdale  or Miami - use US-27 instead of I-75. It saves you at least 2 hrs (see directions below).
  • Boca Raton area - use Sawgrass Expressway south to I-75 and US-27
  • West Palm Beach area - use highway 80 west (Southern Blvd) to Belle Glade and South bay to US-27
    
  • Tampa area - use I-75 (see directions below).
  • Orlando area - use US-17 to Arcadia (see directions below). It much faster than US-27 or I-75.
  • Ft. Pierce - use Hwy 70 to US-27 (see directions below).
  • Outer Space - then you're welcomed here. We're sure you can find us without our help.
    
• Review our online store availability before planning your shopping trip to Tropical Boonies, which is always up-to-date. Top Tropicals is NOT an ordinary nursery with rows of hundreds of plants of the same kind; we have hundreds of rare species (some of them only a few plants count), and if you come without your homework done, you may get lost in our huge selection. Please make sure you know what you want so you can save your time and ours.
• We suggest you to print (or write down) a list of plants you got interested by visiting our online store and catalog, with SCIENTIFIC (!) names, and we will be happy to assist you on the field to make a wise choice, and to suggest which plants from the list will fit your needs and which won't. It will be much easier to help you if you know what you are looking for. Please keep in mind: this is a mail-order nursery where plants are organized for shipping needs, rather than displayed for retail sales.
  And of course, please do not expect to buy here sod or ficus for a hedge :-)

Directions to The Tropical Boonies:

Customers coming from Ft Myers - make sure to take SR 31, it's much faster!

From I-75 (from Punta Gorda, Tampa, Sarasota):

1. Merge onto US-17 N via EXIT 164 toward Arcadia - go 1.5 miles
2. Right before Winn-Dixxie store turn East (right) onto Bermont Rd / CR-74 - go 20 miles to SR-31. Please be careful at this intersection and stop at the STOP sign.
3. From the intersection Hwy 74 and SR 31, stay on Hwy 74. Keep going 4 miles East
4. You will see Paradise RV Park on your left (North side)
5. Right after passing Paradise Park, you will see few houses, mailboxes, and big sign "TopTropicals Garden Center - 3 miles". Turn here North to a private dirt road.
6. The private dirt road makes turns: 1 mile North, 0.5 mile East, 0.8 mile North, 0.5 mile East (right-left-right). Just follow all the way down. On the way you'll see TopTropicals arrow-signs.
7. The nursery will be on the right hand side. The Boonies is still under construction, please be careful.

From SR-31 South  (from Ft Myers, Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, Naples):

1. Take SR 31 North (starts at Publix plaza on SR 80) or take SR 78 from Cape Coral east and turn left on SR 31 right after the Lee county civic center.
2. Go 20 miles to intersection with CR 74 (Bermont Rd). It has flashing yellow lights and "Palmdale" sign arrow.
3. Turn right (East) and follow Bermont Rd East 4 miles and follow to step 4 above.

From SR-31 North  (from Arcadia, Lakeland, Orlando):

From US-27 (from Lake Placid and East Coast - Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Ft Stuart):

1. Turn South at SR-29 - go 0.8 miles
2. Turn West (right) at Hwy-74 (there is sign "To Punta Gorda") - go 20 miles until see a large barn on your right
3. Pass the barn, drive another mile or so, and right before Paradise RV Park, you will see few houses, mailboxes, and big sign "TopTropicals Garden Center - 3 miles". Turn here North to a private dirt road and follow to step 6 above.
